Throughout her career as a user experience strategist, Lisa has worked with small startup and large corporations, across a broad range of industries and markets. She has grown to understand that her passion is with startups and doing what she can to support founders to realize their dreams. Lisa is also a lead mentor at Blue Startups, where she helps support ten startups in each cohort create simple, invisible user experiences. She believes that the path to successful user experience products and services starts at the executive level: leveraging UX methodologies to begin discovery discussions with the senior team sets a path to product and services that users appreciated – especially with the startups she worked with in the Bay area. Lisa is from Kailua, and currently lives in Santa Cruz. As a child of a career diplomat, she spent much of her childhood years also in Taiwan, Thailand, South Vietnam, Bangladesh, India and the Philippines.
