Smart Yields lead founder Vincent Kimura was honored on Monday in a special recognition ceremony at the Hawaii State Capitol, along with other winners of the 16th Annual HVCA Entrepreneur & Deal of the Year awards.
Kiumura was among a group of Senate honorees that included Meli James of the HVCA, Elliot Parks of Hawaii Biotech, Inc., Samantha Kimsey of Computational Thinkers incoming Kapiolani Community College student Traven Watase. Colleagues, friends and family observed from the galley as the group received a framed certificate from Sen. Glenn Wakai. A separate group was then honored in the House of Representatives.
